BRIEF > DISCOVERY > IDEATION > TESTING > FINALS > LAUNCH > EVALUATION
Through a series of questions, understand and discover what problems the client is facing and establish (if any) design solutions.
Establish clear and concise deliverables and timeline for project.
Study the clients brand and understand the unique value that it offers.
Identify customer needs, the competition, and the marketplace.
Disclose the strengths and weaknesses of the brand, and also identify the most valuable brand offerings.
Translate abilities into values, to portray a brand that offers professional and emotional trust to customers.
Review various elements such as history, quality, vision, stakeholders, and market performance.
Create a unified message to present to the outside world.
Ensure that all stakeholders such as senior management, employees, sales team, suppliers, etc. are all on the same page.
Sketch and come up with as many ideas as possible to solve the design problem(s).
Use mixed media to test to see what works / doesn't.
From most relevant ideas, refine and progress a few options and discuss them with client to see if on track.
Iterate if necessary.
From client collaboration and ideation, test the designs strength (is it relevant, suitable, legible etc).
Refine and test further until both designer, end user and client are happy with outcome.
From testing, create final designs and place into accessible files / folders, client can easily navigate.
Ensure guidelines accompany files, so that the client and staff have a thorough understanding of what to use and where (and what not to do).
Ensure client has launch guidelines.
Assist client with launch of project(s) if needed.
During the project I will list what went well / didn't.
At the end I will compile my findings and establish how I can improve my design process, systems and client communication / experience (and what worked well to keep doing).
